Cake Plate Stand Taylor Smith Taylor 2 Tier

Taylor Smith Taylor Vintage Dinner Plate, an aqua green salad plate, and 2 glass candle holders in a before picture of the repurposed item

Vintage Taylor Smith Taylor Dinner Plate, Aqua Green Salad Plate, 2 glass candle holders, and a drinking glass with some rose decals around the glass

Before Picture of items used again. Little bit closer view of the items seeing a little more details

Cake Plate Stand 2 Tier Taylor Smith Taylor. This is a completed picture of this cake plate stand I have done. Many possibilities for this piece. Will be listed with my Artfire Store soon. Any questions, please contact me.

Top view of this Cake Plate Stand that is a 2 tier serving stand. The dinner plate has an aqua green color, pink rose in center, and is square like in shape. The salad plate is an aqua green colored plate. The drinking cup is glass with rose decals around it. 2 glass candle holders were used to attach the plates.
Another completed view of this 2 tier stand that was repurposed, and restyled by me. The glass was not attached so it could also be set to the side for another use while serving maybe some fruit, cake, muffins, cookies, organizer for your counter top, add to the decor of your bathroom with rolled cloths, and soaps.

I truly enjoy making these cake plate stands as there are sooo many possibilities for their use. They are a versatile piece to fit with many rooms in your home. Even if you wanted to change the decor with one room, this could nicely fit into another room as well. This has not been listed for sale yet, but will soon be showing in my Artfire Store. Any questions, you are welcome to contact me. Thanks so much for visiting with me, and wishing all of you a wonderful weekend. Happy Thrifting, Repurposing, Restyling, Creating, Imagining, and all the above. Take care.

Repurposed Glass Bowl, Mikasa Plates, Home Decor, Tier Plate

Kind of a before picture. Glass bowl with a ruffled rim, and a glass candle holder made from homco.

Glass Compote Candle Holder is a completed project with the glass bowl, and the attached candle holder. I used a wide lace, and weaved a mauve colored ribbon through the top tying it in front with a small bow. Gives it a little more character with the lace skirt. This skirt could also be removed, and maybe used on a small mini lamp shade too.

The 2 plates are Mikasa, have not sold with 2-3 different venues they had been listed with. Will not throw them, don't want to give them away, so I repurposed them into a tier plate. Also, used a salt shaker that matches with speckled background, but different brand. Then, found a yellow ceramic bowl that matches the flowers.

Mikasa Tiered Serving Plate has the two plates attached with the salt shaker in the center that was glued. On top the yellow bowl was left loose for those wanting to remove it, and set to side for use.

When I glue things I like to let them set for 24-48 hours depending on the size, and weight of the item. Sometimes a little longer if I feel it needs to set longer. Once that drying part is done I will then start repurposing to ways I invision, or can imagine it. Prior to all pieces being used they have been mildly washed, and dried making cleaner surfaces for better sealing of glues, and such used. I sometimes wonder what took me so long to get to this point, and why did I not do these things sooner. I enjoy what I am doing. It is fun, enjoyable, feeling of accomplishment, making one-of-kind items not found in stores, and am happy to offer for those to enjoy with their homes.

Items that have been shown through out here have either been listed with my Artfire Store for sale, or most of them I am showing to you have not yet been listed, and are preparations for fall inventory to be listed soon. Thanks so much for visiting LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures. I enjoy the visits, comments, the sharing, and suggestions by others as well. Have a wonderful creative weekend everyone!:)

Glass Cloche Repurposed From Thrift Store Finds

Glass Cloche Repurposed From Thrift Store Finds. Welcome to LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures! Happy to have you here viewing, and remember you are welcome to share, and comment with my postings too. Would be glad to have you share with all of us.

This item came from a Thrift Store find on Friday from a Missions Place I like to visit, and donate to also. I had gotten another glass piece I was going to use for the knob, but had this one on hand, and it seem to fit the size and character of this piece a little bit more. So, this is how it looked before I repurposed it.

Here is how the item looks completed from repurposing with different pieces. I glued the glass piece on top of this glass vase giving it a knob, and making this a glass cloche. I let this sit for at least 48 hours to make sure the glue dried, and cured. During that time I went through other pieces I have around the home...my stash:) I found this Anchor Hocking Green Vase that is a small mini size. I then took a bundle of pink flowers I had, and cut some of the stems away from it to make this small bouquet to put inside the Green Vase by Anchor Hocking. This is the completed product that I will be offering for sale in my store at Artfire. Before I list any products for my Artfire Store I am working on completing a few products to add to the inventory along with some other vintage pieces I also have to be added with the vintage inventory.

Thanks so much for visiting with Second Time Treasures today. Was glad to have you, and to be able to share with you. I have another project I started tonight. I have glued 1 piece, and that will have to sit to dry completely. I will then be attaching that piece to another, adding a small bowl to it that I will leave loose, and not glue. I am making a tier plate from a matching plate, and saucer. I have the before picture, and soon will have a completed picture for you with this also. Hopefully it will be completed within a couple of days.

Thanks again everyone, and take care. Till the next time.

LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures Before and After

Welcome to LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures. Hope you will enjoy your visit. I am gonna show you just a few pictures to a couple of items I have repurposed, and they are listed for sale with my store at Artfire too. As time goes along you will see that I tend to favor glassware items a little bit more. I believe it is out of habit, not sure, but I enjoy what I do:)

My first attempt at making a glass cloche with different pieces. I started with a glass bowl I found.

I then found this little ceramic piece that I repurposed, and decorated to make the handle, or knob for the top of the glass cloche.

This is a final of what is being offered for sale at Artfire. Only difference is the plate is being changed under it, and I have to take new pictures to show this at my Artfire Store. The knob had some white satin lace added around it. I then added soft pink bows to that. The center piece is a ceramic piece with doves, and the colored flowers in the pot area were added by me. This will all come together with the plate offered in the sale.

With this project I used a plate, and a glass chandelier cover with some etch work in the glass. Some blue ribbon, pink flowers, and a glass votive not pictured is included to make this piece a.........

One-of-a-kind candle holder to adorn the home with any room in the home too. This item can be found with my Artfire Store for sale.

Hope you enjoyed your visit with Second Time Treasures page today. Keep in mind you are always welcome to leave comments, and share things with any of LilacsNDreams Blog pages too. Thanks for visiting, and have a wonderful evening. Best of luck with your new week everyone. Take care.
