Second Time Treasures for Vintage Repurposed Upcycled Altered

Second Time Treasures for Vintage Repurposed Upcycled Altered. Happy to see you visiting with me.

You know, I really have been in the mood to work on some pieces around here. Gluing, wish I could paint, cutting, paper, material, etc. I had some plans, and now everything has been on hold. I can't even scrapbook like I intended to this winter. House is still in a shambles with the contractors, and the plumbers coming and going. I have my craft supplies in boxes and containers, some of the materials I was thinking of using, lace is bundled up, and so on. What a bummer! I think I am going to have withdrawals from it all. The mess around here, boxes piled to make room for the workers, and not being able to do anything I had planned to work on.

I do have a piece right now that I am gluing. Smaller piece. Made some room on the kitchen counter top. Cleaned it, layed some paper towels down for the pieces to be on, and so on. I got a couple of red exterior, white intererior, square shaped little snack dishes brand new. Then, I found a small glass mini vase that I am using in the middle of gluing the 2 pieces together. Valentines Day is coming, and I think it is going to be an adorable little snack piece to offer for some candies to be served, great for holding some jewelry pieces, and would be cute with a candle in the top dish too. When I get this done I will show you a picture of it with a link to where I have it listed for sale too.

Don't you just LOVE the picture above here?! Gorgeous glass candle holders with some adorable prisms hanging, mosaic table top, and a beautiful mosaic plate too. No, was not done by me, but I did find this out in Blogland. Unfortunately, notes have been misplaced for the name that belongs to this, and I apologize for that as they deserve the credit for having some really beautiful pieces.

Better go check on my pieces glued, and drying. Hopefully I will have this done tomorrow night. I like to give everything extensive time to settle, and set with glue. One piece at a time, taking my time, making sure things settle and hold, and it makes me feel better knowing it was not all rushed. Wish me luck everyone. Thanks so much for visiting with Second Time Treasures page. Make sure to drop on by other pages with my tabs above here. Give a visit, make sure to say Hi so I can drop on by, and visit with you too!:) Have a great weekend everyone!:)

Repurposed Plates Candle Holders Plate Stands

Repurposed Plates, Plate Stands, Cake Plates, Candle Holders.

Welcome to LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures, and happy to have you with us tonight. I have been trying to stay busy with working on things. Some items that have not sold for a very very long time have been either getting donated, or some I have pulled to the side to repurpose them too.

Tonight I will  share a couple of before, and after projects I have completed. I have another one that is setting for the night drying before I do more gluing, and of course other pieces sitting here to be worked with too.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the pieces. Always welcome to comment, and share with all of us too.

Blue and White plate with a white ceramic candle holder. The before picture
Blue and White Plate Stand with many possibilities. Candle holder, Jewelry holder, holder for your glasses, great adorning the bathroom with some decorative soaps, some rolled cloths, great in the craft room with the slightly raised button design around the rim of the plate. Isn't it fun?

Here is a Green Plate, and a Candle Holder that has a fruity design around the middle and base of it. Colorful, and fun!:)

Green Plate Stand Fruity Pedestal is the finished product with many possibilities for this. The plate looks like a darker green than what it is in this picture. The above picture is more accurate of the coloring of the plate. This would look fabulous in the kitchen with some fruits on it, maybe hold your scrubby pads there, use it for a candle holder, use it to serve some smaller food items with, and the possibilities are endless with these pieces!

The items have not been listed for sale with my store as of yet. They soon will be, and I will notify you all of such. I am still working on growing my inventory a bit before the season starts after school has started. I enjoy showing you what I am accomplishing, and I enjoy repurposing different treasures around the home too. Any questions please ask. Thanks for visiting, and for viewing other projects I have done. Take care.

Repurposed Glass Bowl, Mikasa Plates, Home Decor, Tier Plate

Kind of a before picture. Glass bowl with a ruffled rim, and a glass candle holder made from homco.

Glass Compote Candle Holder is a completed project with the glass bowl, and the attached candle holder. I used a wide lace, and weaved a mauve colored ribbon through the top tying it in front with a small bow. Gives it a little more character with the lace skirt. This skirt could also be removed, and maybe used on a small mini lamp shade too.

The 2 plates are Mikasa, have not sold with 2-3 different venues they had been listed with. Will not throw them, don't want to give them away, so I repurposed them into a tier plate. Also, used a salt shaker that matches with speckled background, but different brand. Then, found a yellow ceramic bowl that matches the flowers.

Mikasa Tiered Serving Plate has the two plates attached with the salt shaker in the center that was glued. On top the yellow bowl was left loose for those wanting to remove it, and set to side for use.

When I glue things I like to let them set for 24-48 hours depending on the size, and weight of the item. Sometimes a little longer if I feel it needs to set longer. Once that drying part is done I will then start repurposing to ways I invision, or can imagine it. Prior to all pieces being used they have been mildly washed, and dried making cleaner surfaces for better sealing of glues, and such used. I sometimes wonder what took me so long to get to this point, and why did I not do these things sooner. I enjoy what I am doing. It is fun, enjoyable, feeling of accomplishment, making one-of-kind items not found in stores, and am happy to offer for those to enjoy with their homes.

Items that have been shown through out here have either been listed with my Artfire Store for sale, or most of them I am showing to you have not yet been listed, and are preparations for fall inventory to be listed soon. Thanks so much for visiting LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures. I enjoy the visits, comments, the sharing, and suggestions by others as well. Have a wonderful creative weekend everyone!:)

Repurposed Glass Cloches at LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures

Here is the glass cloche seen below with a different plate I have not added to it, and it can be seen listed with my Artfire Store

Now, from thrifting on Friday, these are the pieces I am putting together to make a glass cloche. This is a glass vase, and the smaller piece showing I have attached for the knob on top of this piece making the cloche. When I have the finished product I will picture it for ya'll to see. I got some other ideas to go with it yet too. Have to try them out, play a bit first.

I want to thank everyone for visiting with LilacsNDreams Second Time Treasures. I appreciate the visit, and know you are always welcome to visit too.
